Couldn't sleep so I came back and read this and I'm still really liking it. It's very visual and the feelings of all of it--the visual stuff and not--is very strong and vivid.
There are days I think this city is going to eat me alive.
There are days I think this city is going to take care of me until the day I die.
I think most people who spend any significant time in America's great cities feel some version of that. Very apt.
